MA HK400D any good?

Dont know much about it but it seems ok and there going for pretty cheap brand new and i would like it to power a kicker solo x 18. MA AUDIO HK4000D 4000 WATT RMS MONO CAR AMPLIFIER AMP 524.95 brand new. I think thats alright for what it is and it used to retail at like 1300 or something like that. So tell me what u guys think.

As I mentioned in your prior post I have the HK3600sx from MA it runs nicely they are really current hogs. Start thinking bare minimum 1 nice battery and Big 3 upgrade...if not a HO alternator and another battery.

They're decent, I've seen plenty blown and plenty work. Feed it plenty of power and it'll do the same

Yes they are current hogs, Get TWO good batteries and do the big 3 or even the big 4 and get a high output alternator. If you try to run them below 11 volts kiss the amp good bye.

The Rockford is better, the HK4000D has a non-regulated power supply and does not like low voltages.
