i was wondering what everyone thought of this amp

running off a stock electrical but with an upgraded battery in a pickup truck so its a good sized battery anyway running that amp at .5ohms pushing 2 12's l7's

i was looking at that amp and the kicker 1500.1 but for the price difference is the kicker worth it for another $130 bucks

will the ma audio do the 1800 rms or at least 1500rms

i believe ma audio rates thier amps at 17.7v which means on stock electrical it wont do those numbers... and yes the kicker is worth that money (if you have it)

the hard kore series is decent but you do need insance electrical to power them. they are power hungry like you wouldnt believe.

im not big on kicker but that is a great price

ok well i can get a kicker brand new for 350 shipped wat other amp is capable of 1500-1700rms for that price i need something either 2ohm stable or .5ohm stable i have 2 12's dual 2ohms

Amps that are rated at 12V are usually underrated because your car runs at about ~13.8V when idling... so the increase in voltage actually gives you extra power.

They are rated at 17.7V so they can advertise "1500 WATTS" and this is done to trick the consumer to believe that they actually do 1500 watts while the car is operating at ~13.8V, rather than the actual 17.7V.

In other words, a MAJOR decrease in the rated voltage compared to the car's actual voltage is quite significant in relation to power.

I have a 802sx.. and i love it... power hungry yes. But with a extra battery and a h/o alt you will be golden.
