My HKX2's handled more than the rms with ease... Orion 2500D's to be exact. I used to have XE's as well, handled the 350wrms they were rated for, and actually ran a lot nicer of 500wrms. Actual experience is nice when asking for opinions.

I can second that. I've ran 2 different sets of MA subs now. I ran a set of old aluminum cone subs that absolutely hammered! I'm now running 120XE off of a BX1000D, so they're probably getting 400wrms apiece. They sound nice. I'd put them up against any sub in that price range. When you're lucking at a sub that's in the $125 - $150 MSRP price range, you can't expect it to be a XXX or Mag. For the money, they're a good sub.
i own the xls powered off a ed nine1 sealed and they pound pretty hard for the price and everyone is like ma audio is crap then they get in my car and tell me that mine is the nicest install theyve heard //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif i just need to get it metered yet
