ma audio hk4000d relay options instead of relay

i mean the amp draws current when it's on....over night it'll run the battery down, mine ran fine with just a remote wire, if you have a problem, use a relay

 
Buy a toggle switch from somewhere like Radio Shack.

Or if you're feeling really creative, you can patch into a switched/ignition terminal off of the fuse box and run a wire from there to the remote terminal. If your HU doesn't have a remote turn on lead, that is.

And the remote turn on circuit for an amp will usually operate fine with voltages as low as 8-10V and as high as 15-17V. Some may not be as forgiving though, and I have no experience with your brand amp.
