Ma Audio 15's

my boy has some ma audio 15's dont know the model looks like the MA1200xl sub series. he had them on a alpine amp and they were hitting hard. he said they need more power like 1200 rms...a piece.. i was wonder if i should buy the box off him. they're in a ported box he wants 250 for the box...is that a good price I dont know cause i've never been into MA audio subs??? plus im shopping for some spl for my 97 chevy tahoe..

250 for just the box? or the whole thing? if it's 250 for the box, that is a pretty crappy friend. and you can probably take the subs out and look on the magnet for the model number.

it all depends what kind of money you want to spend on an amp, i think those subs are 600 rms, you could do better than those subs, of course on this site the type R's are popular, shit for 250 you can get three Comp VRs, shop around the internet sites, see what subs you like
