interesting not sure what happen there.. ive never had a problem with any mmats amp nor have i hear bad things about them.. what exactly you have wired and how? the maats have to have ample current.. ill bet money it went into protect because you simply couldn't feed her enough.. there designed to go into protect in that situation.. you cna have 1000 batteries your seing a lag between the alts abilitly to release current to the amps, and the batteries don't hlep.. you need to wire caps between the batteries and the amp...like i said the DD amps are built with a ton of capitance to work great in installs where you can't put 2 alts and 8 batteries.. i promise you the mmats amps are one of if not the most efficient class D designs.. im really glad you like the DD amps.. again for daily with adequate PS mmats every-time.. back to topic id probably get another m3 since you have one, but imo you can't go wrong with the SD DAT MMATS even the powerbass 5kw would kick ***... also the high end hifonics amps as well as the soundstream XXX series are great amps.. soundigital amps do great daily as well..

I dunno but there were plenty of batts for the mmats and we couldnt even get the volume up without it protecting....maybe they were faulty i dunno. You are exactly right about dd amps they are made for a daily driver vehicle...like the m3 its a 4500 watt power supply but only 2800 output section and this is like this for reliabilty
