so me and my buddy tested to see how loud a kicker comp ten in their pre fab ported enclosure would get. we spent about an hour and a half putting it in, and when we fired it up, we couldnt even hear the sub over the stock speakers. walmart for audio=fail.

Shut the fuck up. Kicker didn't do anything but allow WalMart to start selling their product. It didn't drop quality.. it is nothing different. The reason it sounds like shit is because it's a pre-fab box. Everyone knows they're not properly designed. Punch the enclosures specs into a calculator and you'll understand why it sounds like shit. Other than that.. GTFO.

yeah, i agree with J31.... its not anything I would run, but properly installed in an enclosure w/ a mid 30's tune and on 500 watt amp, it would satisfy most beginner/noob/non-enthusiast.

exactly, a kicker prefab box, it was the kicker comp 10 in the preloaded enclosure for 150 + tax. its not like i threw it into any old prefab, this was a box designed by kicker for the kicker comp 10 lmao

he is just trolling me lol. and the kicker comp in a loaded enclosure only came in single 4 ohm, so you would have to find a 500 watt amp @ 4 ohms. plus you would be way overpowering. they are rated for 150 rms. i was giving it 200
