Lsk#$2dk Alt. Whine!!!

This is...GO****IT ok so I have fixed all alt whine problems ever except for....dun dun dun my own car..

I replaced my spark plugs with resistor spark plugs. I grounded my RCAs and it barely got quieter. My power cable and RCAs are about 6 inches apart. The only thing I can think of is that my speaker wires for two of my speakers are close to the power cable, but even after disconnecting that there's no difference. I only have 1 amp so there's only one ground going to the floor of my trunk in the back of my civic, nothing else is grounded to it either.

What else can there be???

did you strip the paint from the ground mounting spot? also are you grounding to the sheet metal?for me alt whine has usually been due to the ground itself.

It didn't always do this though, and like I said sometimes it comes and goes, but mostly comes

I'm not 100% sure how to fix it, except maybe recheck all the wires or somehow maybe put shielding?

I have an engine grounding kit, could that affect it?

i had a simillar problem. it ended up being bad aux outputs on my HU. i ended up having to use my REAR aux output to hookup my amp for my frontstage. no more alt whine. try that. LOC's didnt work, new rcas didnt work, grounding them didnt work. just switching the aux output... kinda sucked cuz i had just bought it literally an hour after my 5900iB blew. im hoping the 880PRS i have coming doesnt have the same problem. i hear pioneer HU's have aux output problemsd

Tried that, each one seems to be just as loud

the unusual thing though is, on my 7 channel amp, if i use channels 3/4, I don't get the whine...
