how does the lpf affect the amout of power on my amp? when i turn it up alot the amp light dims and when i lower it, its fine. i want more high bass from my 10's. i have my h/u settings on 80 but what should i put it on the lpf? and should i lower the gain if i raise the lpf? btw the bass boost is off of course.

The low pass filter on the JBL BP Series amps is something horrid. Completely no use for it other than being a pain in the arse.

If it was user defeatable it would be another story....

Generally the frequency I would shoot for would be in the area of 80-90Hz for 10's. Your ears will ultimately decide.

As for the gains, many factors to consider to determine their proper setting.

Have a read.

thanks. the site is a little confusing but i get the idea. i have my gains id say at about 60%. by raising the lpf, does it create more output? and i know u said the lpf is a pos on the jbl, so how do i guesstimate where 80hz is? it goes from 32-320 hz on the dial.
