Lpf filter hu/amp settings?

I cannot cut off the lpf on my hu. I turned my lpf on my amp all the way up and used the lpf settings

on my hu which go from 50 63 80 120 and I use 63 or 80 was this the correct way of setting this up. I appreciate any advice!

depends on the HU.

on the Scion build, the Pioneer 980BT has terrible crossovers. Using the Audison LRx5.1k crossovers resolved a lot of phase issues we were having. the problem with active HU crossovers is that you have no idea what it is doing to phase or response. with good 'ol op amp/cap/resistor crossovers on the amp you know exactly what it's doing.

if you're spending $1k on a deck, it's crossovers are probably decent.

if you have cheap amps, the HU crossovers are probably a better bet.

if you have nice amps, using their crossovers may be to your benefit - but use the HU to experiment first (using same slopes).

i will soon be experimenting with the xtant crossovers in lieu of the HU and see what I think.
