LP/HP/Bypass?

Guys,

I have an PG R5.04 powering mb quart pce210 (front) and inifnity Reference (rear).

Do I use Bypass or HP for the four speakers using Alpine 9857.

Btw, I have a Diamond 10 inch sub powered by pg 600.1 if it matters.

high pass = everything over specified frequency goes through.

so that is what you want.

when you say bypass i think you mean band pass

and a band pass isnt nessecary in this case since the tweeter can play as high as your deck can output.

a band pass is a combination of a low pass and a high pass

so if you have a BP set to lp at say 3.5khz and a hp at 80hz everything between 80 and 3500hz would be passed through.

i dont know if you knew that so i just wanted to explain a bit.

Thanks for the reply. It is actually "bypass". It has a straight curve (meaning both high and low is the same).

HP or bypass... You could use either depending on what kinda HPF your deck has and what the slope is on the amp and deck.

The deck has NO filter. Bypass is just what it says, it bypasses the crossover circuit.
