You've gotta realize this same thread happens every every every single day on this board, and i've been here for a few years.

How would an RL-P sound in around a 2.5cube sealed box with say a 1501/81000d on it at 4 ohms consider it says it only need aournd 600-700wrms to reach full excursion??? An RL-p should handle 1000wrms easily sealed right???

WOuld an RL-P be considered an SQ or an SQL sub?

ok went to the SP website and did alittle research. Nevermind about the SQ or SQL...they consider it an SQL sub, would u agree?? Please tell me the pros and cons of each enclosure so I can make a better desicion...i would just try to read the chart they got and put 2 and 2 together but its like a foreign language,u can inform me about it which would be helpful, got kind of a basic idea but not enough to say i know WTH im lookin at.

Sealed with 2.5cubes off a 1501d:

Ported with 2.5cubes tuned to 34hz off a 1501d:

Sealed in 2.5 is going to be semi-sloppy but with decent low end extension. It will also not need anywhere near 1000rms to reach full excursion.

2.5 ported at 34 would lack low end for me as I am a fan of stuff around 25hz.

What songs do you know of that drop really low? That will give us an idea of what you mean by "low" bass.

ok well smart guy i know that the sub is not the only factor to consider. Im basically looking for an all around decent quality sub...a pyle sub will not at all sound as good as say an MTX in the same price range! THANK YOU come again
lol... it can if you build the box right //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

DJ Screw- South Side Groovin off The Legend CD.

what other song will go alot lower???

ok. well i had two 15in. CVRs sealed in a prefab (which sounded pretty good) and played hoods run down by lil whyte and they didnt get the lowest frequency in the beginning when the "bass dropped"...they sounded loud at first but it kinda faded as it got lower, what tuning would i need pick it all up...if that makes sense.

Many of the songs on this page drop much lower:http://www.putfile.com/immacomputer/media

On hoods run down, the last tone they play is about 15-17hz and tuning low enough to pick that up with greatly lower output in upper frequencies.
ok. what is a good tuning frequency to get nice and low but still able to pic up the higher frequencys nicely? 30hz...??? BTW, what rap song will drop much lower?? How would Late night tip compare to those??? I have no idea who half those people are you listed.
