lowering resistance on 4 ch amp

Right now I have an alpine amp delivering 40 watt's to 4 speakers. However If I were to lower the resistance to 2 ohms I would get 50 watt's to each speaker. However I need help as to how I could achieve this lower resistance. If at all possible.

Not really. Get a bigger amp or components and bridge the amp.

well my head unit only puts out 16 watts and my speakers ran decently off that for a while so I figured 40 watts is about 2.5 that power and 50 watt's is a little over triple that power and thats why I was anticipating. Any recommended budget amps with 70 watt's of power per channel

I have to upgrade my front speakers the ones I was looking at are rated for 60 watt rms, but at the same time they recommend 10-100 watts in terms of power from amp. I don't know, anyways I'll order new speakers and try bridging and running off the head unit. Thanks
