Love my JL but i think i wanna try Fi

I currently have a 12w6v2.

i'm def gonna build a bigger box. but should i buy another 12 w6v2?

or go with like a single 18" Fi Q?

having two w6v2 would be louder than a single Fi Q, right?

any thoughts would help.

A single 18 fi q can get as loud or louder than your 2 JL's if you have enough room/amplifer available. You could also just do 2 12's like you already have and use a bigger box, that might fit better, depends on the vehicle I suppose. If it's a trunk 2 12's is much easier to fit than an 18.

edit: Yukon, you can do either. A 18 is cheaper and has more wow factor, I'd do that lol.

Single 18 will by far outperform pair of 12's if you're willing to give up enough space to do it properly.

either way, i say switch to Fi... 1 18" or 2 12"... Fi

The 18 has more surface area, will be less expensive as it's only 1 woofer, and easier to recone.

Proper box and power to it; you should enjoy it.

However, if adding another w6 is easier, not a bad option either.
