Louder bass

I was wondering would 4 type x 12" alpine be louder than 4 l7 15" kicker? Also if you have any other suggestions to different subs feel free to let me know. Thanks for the help.

If you go by cone area, the Kickers would win, but you're going to have a much better overall bass response going with the Type X. Last thing you want is to have a ton of air moving, but it's not making much of a distinguishable sound.

You have 225 in2 on an L7 15 and 113 in2 with the Alpine. this is for a flat surface and not taking into account for the added area of if the curve. They L7 is nearly twice the cone area so I doubt will get beat by many 12 in subs.

Type R > type X in output the x's are more sq. Anyways look around the site for a while and you might change your mind on what brand you would like to buy.

Yeah be careful with kickers. They can pop really easy.

Because the 12s are comp so I thought they might be louder than my type r

This or Some 15" Gcons, so many options out there better then l7s, Your Type Rs arent bad either.
