thanks guys 4 any help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Probably because 40A doesnt leave the amps with much power to work with.

p=iv. If you have a power supply that is feeding it 14v, then at 100% efficiency, both amps together would be able to produce at max 560w.

wot do u mean ....

Probably because 40A doesnt leave the amps with much power to work with.

on the power supply it has an amuter and it doesnt go higher than 8amps!! lol and i bought a 40Apower supply witch was £130 lol

40 amps is not near enough for those amps. Try adding a car battery in there and just leave the power supply on all the time so when you do not have the amps on it will charge the battery.

but it dont even go more than 8 amps when playing so surely theres enuf current output from the power supply, i think it coulld be the signal not high enogh voltage because the signal is from my computer, and its the on board AC97 chip, so mayb a sound card might fix or a preamp (dont no what it is lol) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

any help please //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

Too much power. Or, should I say, too much amplifier. I ran a similar HT setup with coaxials, a single 10, and about 8 amps worth of power. When I hooked the sub up to my Jensen (230watts bridged) is was plenty loud. When I swapped that for my Power Acoustik amp (600watts bridged) is was nowhere near the volume level. I don't think efficiency has anything to do with it, it's just large amps can't utilize very small levels of current like smaller amps.
