loud explorers - fix for overhead console?

while playing some low bass yesterday, i broke my overhead console. the 2 plastic mounting clips at the front both broke off... ones been that way for a while i think, and the last one just went.

i know this is a common problem with loud explorers, is there a fix for it or do you guys just remove them?

My buddy's explorer has the same problem. He just pushes it back up and lets it fall when a bass line hits.

I haven't had teh problem with mine yet!

mine broke off all the mounting clips... i can't push it back up.
