Loud bass note on start up?

Working on a 2006 Mazdaspeed 3. Installed DDc2b and DD1510. We are still using the factory headunit and running RCA's spliced into a rear speaker.

The problem is everytime you turn on the car and radio you get a super loud bass note. How can this be fixed?

Sometimes that is caused by a weak ground for the LOC. Also the quality of the LOC can affect how "hard" it turns on. Make sure all is hooked up right and that you have the LOC grounded nicely.

I am not using a LOC. Just splicing rca's into speaker wire.

This could be the problem. Let me try a LOC.

i dont think theres a way to fix it without getting a new headunit.

Ah didnt read thoroughly, but yea use an LOC if you want to retain the stock HU.
