LOUD at 1ohm??

hey i'm looking for something louder than my two 15'' RE SEs. they need to be able to be wired at 1ohm cause my amp does 1500 at 1(dont wanna buy new amp). they will be ported in about 4-5 cubes. i wanted to get some Ed As or D2s but they are both dvc 2ohm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. im looking for 12s cause they'll be a better fit in my trunk. let me know of what u guys think. ty

I don't know how much louder you can get with that power. 2 15" SE's aren't loud enough??

yea its loud but i donno im guess im looking for more. but it should get louder once i do my electrical. we'll see.

i'm thinking A's, XXX's, HC's, D2's, 95XX's, 9917 ect ect ect...treos also

well im not trying to be mean or anything but u obviously didn't read my post to well. cause id have to be able the subs into 1ohm which cant be done with A's and D2s(not sure about 95xxs&9917s). also i want to keep my same amp which would give 750wrms to each sub which isn't enough for a pair of xxx's or hc's not to mention i only have about 5 cubes to work with before displacement.

but i will look into those 95xx's and 9917s aswell as treo lines. thanks

wtf, 2 ported 15's and its not loud enough... Must be something wrong with ur install. or electrical.

sry i didn't read the first post very well....

yes i have to agree w/ C on this one.....something must be wrong if those two 15's are loud enough...you probably won't be able to get louder with anything else with the same power if you install is good

What's the problem with them? If you want to get significantly louder, either build a bigger box with a higher tuning freq, get a bigger amp, or get an all out SPL sub(s). get a XXX Frank.Get it dual 2ohm and it wires to 1ohm.You said mine was louder so then get what I got.

His tuning is 34hz if im not mistaken so a higher tuning would give a little more spl,but sq would fall off soon.

some thing is seriously wrong with ur wiring if ur its not louad enough for u with two XXXs...those things can get extremely lethal with just a small amount of wattage to them...

He's got 2 SE's, not XXX's. And, if they AREN'T properly powered they will not reach their full potential. You don't send a 1600 watt RMS driver 400 watts and expect it to sound good, or at least not sound as good as it could with it's recommended power.

the XXX performs best from 800w and up.

It will reach its "sounding good" point once you give it about 800w.

my wiring is fine the only thing that needs work is my electrical like i said before. i'll make my final decision once i get my 200a alt and red top. but my system is LOUD all my friends have ringing ears when they get out my car and think im crazy. so its not like i wired them at 4ohm instead of 1.
