loud and clear

u CAN get loud with sealed. just not AS loud as if you went ported. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif better?
well i want loud but i will not ever compete so which would be better for me do u think

its all bout prefferance. i would prefer ported anytime ever but if you want some tight bass that can get pretty low as well. go for sealed. but if you want some bass that carrrries and has potential to be loud as hell go ported

a nice single 18" nightshade in a nice ported box with a nice saz-3500d would sound really nice in there or a pair of 15" nightshades..and we are local to one another so lets get this going..

How many tweeters you got in your caprice? I got these in mine

So I'm guessing it would be a pretty nice setup //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

But i do have to agree though Nightshades are a good way to go, but if the OP isn't gonna be upgrading his alt then I definitely wouldn't run 3500+ watts on a 105amp stock alt. Especially since it sounds like he has either none or very little experience with installs and higher power ones aren't the easiest to learn with(also are much more expensive).

Something like a single 18" Nightshade or 2 15" DC LVL4s off a Sundown 2000D. Either setup would laugh at the power, yet still get loud and with a couple big batts the voltage drops shouldn't be too bad.

Btw OP its a Sundown Audio Nightshade, just google Sundown Audio and check out their site.

Oh i will help op out and a nice battery bank would help the stock alt out..

Thats good to hear, cuz i'd hate to see sum blown woofers or smoking amps from someone who got a lil over excited with a new system.

I saw a local blow an 18" Solo-X about an hour after he got it off just 1800 or so watts because he got way too eager with the gains and bass boost knob. He thought the woofer was destroyed and sold it to me for $175, i just bought a SPAIR off ebay and resold it for just under $600 locally.

Its true, this forum is grossly biased towards ported setups.
I've been telling you that for years...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Why do you want that?

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the "1 ported 18 would be louder than 6 sealed 12s" comment...
