What nonsense. Its true a ported setup is more efficient than the equivalent sealed setup, but sealed allows more cone area due to smaller enclosure sizes, and displaced air is displaced air. Not to mention, sealed setups tend to fit the transfer function of a car better than ported, giving a better chance of a flat response. I many times prefer the low-tuned ported route also, but to say you cant get loud sealed, and use your apparently limited experience as proof, is just silly.
