they run of a hifonic, i wouldn't be surprised if its clipping.That's why i have it turned down, my only experience with a hifonics

is this zeus 1006 i think... and I hate it, never buying hifonics ever again.

ps got this one used with the type Rs and a box for 300 wen my system got jacked.

Jumpin the gun a bit quick, dontcha think?..just one experience with one piece of equipment from a company isn't really enough (imo) to justify 'never buying from them again'...

how is just throwing out numbers proving how loud or good your setup is? i have yet to goto a comp, but from my understanding it's not really the DB's that matter, it's at how low of a freq you are getting a high number in that makes it impressive.. am i wrong?

i compete on a regular basis. i would be very surprised if it does 150 db(i am talking about dbdrag style testing. on the dash. car sealed. not in the port or kick panels)

We weren't hating... just telling you that your subs aren't going to put big numbers... If that was your goal, you should have went with a big monoblock or two and some type rs if you really want to have alpine products.

Well let me clarify, if i was to buy another cheap-o amp it wouldn't be hifonics,

I'm sure that if i buy one of their bigger amps they'll perform better.

I'm just really unsatisfied with this amp.

But back to the thread, lets see those numbers brotha!

i will almost bet that it doesnt do a 150 ! i had 4 dd2500's and it only broke 145. yet it was a horrible box. . . . lol. either way the guy who had my dd's before me had them walled and only did a 151. another thing, i had 2 18" re mt's which have more cone area than 4 12's and it only did a 149.3 at 35 hertz. all im saying is dont expect too much out of it.

i will say it can probably burp a 148 or so if you have all the power supply and the box built right... probably closer to low 140's on actual music.
