yeah that would have gotten outta controlEvery1 was bashing your system for a while. It's a decent daily setup IMO. Most ppl dont like big woofers (or dont have the room to run them).
There's plenty of ppl who go to comps that arent that serious ab it, not like most of us car audio geeks on here. All n all, its not that serious...its all ab having fun and braggin rights. Just leave a comment on the pic and be done with it. @ least the guy's not some dumb@$$ newbie braggin on his 2 sony Xplod 12's and sony amp...
I got a pr. of 10's that wil make ya go wow!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifStrong amps you have there, however some decent 15"s would have made better work out of all that power IMO. Ive heard many a 4 10" setups and wasnt impressed but not any type Xs. A friend of mine had 3 or 4 type X 12"s in a wall in his truck and it was loud as **** though, so im sure those 10"s get decently loud. Did you go with the 10"s for the wow factor as well?
With the right set up 10's can own many a 12,15 set updude, i'm actually on your side. just that if I was putting money on this I'd put my money on the haters. by all means I'd love to see you stick it to the haters but I don't see that with your setup. also i've seen guys with either 2 12's or 2 15's wang more that what you're expecting. I just don't think you have the displacement to be as loud as you think you are.
I'd love to show you a loud set of 10's that sound fantastic Daily and Meter well.i have a pair of 10s as back up system and they can sound good if youdon't want them to sound loud as well. if I crank it up they turn out this
horrific bass. I have them in a sealed box, that might have something to do with it.
I used to, but their head units aren't as loud anymore. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifSince when did anyone use Alpine for a WOW factor ?
if it is clipping you are just an idiot and any other amp you use will clip as well moron.they run of a hifonic, i wouldn't be surprised if its clipping. That's why i have it turned down, my only experience with a hifonics
is this zeus 1006 i think... and I hate it, never buying hifonics ever again.
ps got this one used with the type Rs and a box for 300 wen my system got jacked.
all of the hifonics amps deliver clean rated or very close to rated on proper electrical. I bet you didn't have the amp at a 4 ohm bridged load to get the 1000 rms out of it so you cranked the gain and clipped the shit out of it. I have used that amp in many installs for 2 dvc 2ohm subs and it thrashes them just fine with no clipping. I bet you had a junk prefab box as well.perhaps but i don't see you with a hifonics amp lol.Well let me clarify, if i was to buy another cheap-o amp it wouldn't be hifonics,
I'm sure that if i buy one of their bigger amps they'll perform better.
I'm just really unsatisfied with this amp.
But back to the thread, lets see those numbers brotha!
...or at least a video.
