In Russia a lot of people want factory looking installs. If someone is going to come up whit red/blue/white painted dashboard or “fast and furious” looking car with flames and black rims, that person is going to be officially considered gay. The chances are someone is going to pee all over this car when left unattended. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Also people in Russia demand from installers to make immaculate 100% clean looking installs. If you mess with someone’s car, or the car is going to rust after incorrect deadening job (closing ventilation holes) the installer will be physically forced to pay for all rust damage + whole cost of deadening + compensation for your time. Also, if a client doesn’t like the install for any reason (ex. something is rattling) the chances are he is not going to pay anything, but force the installer to pay money so that he can go to a different place were people can get everything perfect, 100% rattle-buzz free, whatever it takes. Usually installers disassemble whole interior and silicon everything piece by piece and test it for vibrations with 5kW subwoofers for internal and external rattling noises, even if installed system is only 500W total. The cost of such install is about $1-2k and will take about 1-2 weeks to complete by a pro.
I lived in Russia for 25 years. An expensive Mercedes/BMW is equal to the value of an average human being. If you mess with a car like that, someone can kill you easily.
