Losing Power???

when my hu is 1/2 volume or less my subs sound really good hit good sound clear the way they supposed to ...but if i go ne further than 1/2 its like it doesnt hit as hard and its not as clear...i am runnin 4g. power wire and 8 g. ground ..all stock electrical system...what is the prolbem..am i just getting the power thro the wire?? or what...im new to car audio.

You have to use AT LEAST the same gauge on your ground as you do for your power. Try that first.

stock electrical also may be the problem you may not be getting enough power, you may want to try instaling a power cap or a new alternator.

this is not an electrical problem, and no it doesn;t sound like your losing power neither, set your gains correctly. The tutorial is at the amp's section.

when it says to cross ref. i dont have a jl amp so how do i find out what volts it needs to be..and what about needing some cd??
