lop- sided cuts from home depot

I went to lowes and they put me from 1 guy to the next guy but he cut every piece to the specs that I wanted . .. exactley or 1/8 over cause of the saw blade .. ..and the box turned out great! I tipped the guy cause it took a while to make all the cuts . . . (and customers were hounding him ) and some how he kept them off and going somewhere else (and I found out he was a hardware guy ) but hooked me up anyway.

I live in an apartment,but I still break out the jigsaw and get that bi@ch goin,sometimes even around 11 or 12 @night......If its early enough Ill do it in my witch-in-laws garage,lol.....

I went to look at the panel saws at both HD and Lowes before anyone cut anything.. Lowes had the better saw and rack set up and have only had one guy make some slightly off cuts.. they were about 1/4" off but that was easy to fix, the first cut or two was free, after that they are 50 cents each.. went through 3 full sheets and part of a fourth... I had designs for 6 boxes.. My car look like it was gonna pull the front end off the ground on the way home..

well i just got back from lowes. the very first cut that the guy measured and cut was off by like a 1/4" so after that he let me measure the cuts. almost all the cuts were off about 1/8-1/16th.

im just gonna deal with it cause they only charged 1 dollar for all the cuts.

I had my MDF cut at Lowes. One piece ended up being like 1/8 inch too long...

not really a big deal, except that there is extra 1/8 inch hanging over the top of my box...

Yea well there cuts here at home depot sux!!! I tried putting the box together today and it was sh!T

ITS ONE thing if the cuts were off all away around but these cuts were LOP- SIDED... I just scrapped the whole shit pile .... I'm just going to have someone build it for me... this is bull sh!t

When i used MDF i would have them make maybe 2-3 Lenght cuts that i needed, telling them to cut 2" bigger then i needed...so when i needed a 23" cut for my box i would just tell them to cut it 25" and i would take off the excess at home...

there not perfect, but they try to help you out if you cant fit a 4'x8' piece of wood in your car...

I got it cut at HD and they were dead on all most all of the cuts, i think 1 board was off by like half an inch or something

ok time out wouldnt a half inch be considered off.. a 1/2 inch is a shit load off lol..

BUY A TABLE SAW. i bought one for $160...only goes up to 20" but we made an extension for the table so we slap big 4x8 foot sheets on there and cut it. its worth the $$ and hassle.

you shoulda smacked the idiot across the head and told him to learn how to use the ****ing tools or find someone that could. Just like at any store your going to find people who have a clue and others who dont.

I mean its ****ing cutting wood we are talking about. Like how ****ing hard is it to do it right? its almost harder to do it wrong.

****ing pisses me off how wherever you go people just dont give a shit no more.

Thats why i makesure at places with good buisness/service i make myself a regular and with jobs like cutting wood i make sure to tip the person.

gotta make them think you give a shit.

And I wanna see TypeRBass try and use a table saw in an apartment. I'll let him clean up the mess.
