loosing a half of volt

nice man im going to try to do one like that, so you have that ground to your battery right?
The negative run is going directly to the rear distro block and then to my amps. That's why I plan to do a negative run from alt to front battery to give the amps a better negative connection to the battery.

one inline upfront by the battery and one in the back by the back battery and another between the amp and the back battery
That would explain part of your drop, fuses will cause a loss. That is why extreme cars use 0 and why the guys in MECA use many small fuses, lower resistance across many fuses then one large fuse.

If you can bypass them just to test, give it a try. For a DD I would keep them in there.

yea well only .2-.3 volt loss from front to back isnt bad i dont tihnk at all i am confused on the half volt drop from my back battery to the amp the pos and ground 1/0 wire is less than 2 feet long the ground is really short

Are the readings with one DVM or are you relying on a separate meter in the back? Just want to make sure its from one meter.

Assuming its one meter - Check the voltage at the input side of the rear inline fuse holder, then on the output side you should be able to stick your probe in there to get a readying without taking the holder apart. Then compare these reading to the rear batter voltage and the amp voltage. If you see a major drop on the output side of the holder, you might want to check the connections of the fuse and the wire going in and out. MAKE SURE you keep the ground probe at the same location for these voltage readings!!!

ok so i can put the ground probe on the battery and that will work right.

but i think the main reason the voltage loss is from the amp terminals since i can barely fit the kicker 1/0 in the terminals i am gonna take it out tommorow and shave a lil off the wire, whats the best way to shave some pieces off the wire

Yeah, just leave it on the rear batt Neg terminal

The amp does not have the allen style 1/0 terminal? If you need to trim some strands use wire cutters (side cutters etc) and just trim a little at a time

i trimmed a lil on the runs that go in the amp to make them fit better and did the same with the fuse holder and tightend everything down better and its all good only droping to about 12.8 at the battery and about the same at the amp its around 12.7 give or take i recall i will check tommorow in the day time after i reset all my gains and see what voltage i get at the amp and the battery i figure i will loose about a tenth of a volt from the battery to the amp so i dont think its bad voltage, still need to do the alt to battery and then gonna ground the rear battery to the chassis as well, already did the other grounds on the big 3 so with the extra ground and the alt to battery should pick up i am hoping .2-.3 volts or so.

Also is a Ford F150 2001 supercrew a unibody or no i was gonna make another ground for the rear battery to the back wall of the truck
