im not sure whats wrong, but sometimes my speakers will randomly go staticy when there is a bass note and the subs will not hit. could it be a loose ground? my speakers will also go out completely at high volumes all of a sudden. this has never happened before. i would always leave it at 24/40 on my HU, but now it will start to cut off at 22 randomly. anybody know whats wrong with it?

My system was exactly doing that. I did have a loose ground. Dumb friend that helped me install the system used machine screws with holes drilled almost the same size! It quickly worked itself loose obviously. Only reason it was still holding on is because of a wood screw on the 3rd screw hole //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

I'm running 0g, so I know it wasn't a wire size issue. Unless you're pulling over 1800 watts 4g should be fine. But bigger is always better when it comes to ground. Have you done the big 3 under the hood?

It could also be a bad ground spot. Where exactly is your ground and how did you connect it?
