looking for a new car

well ive been looking for a new car, nothing special
something like

nissian sentra

ford mustang

mitshubitshi (sp) lancer

mazda3

something in that class for about 14000

like new between 2006-2009

any input and any of those cars, or anything like them?
scrap the stang....build quality = crap compared to the others you posted

The lance would be my choice, but only if you got it in the manual and not the scvt

you should be able to find a 2006 Mustang GT in that range...great car...very reliable....and out of my Saleen with 20's I average 22-24mpg.....lots of parts available to fix it up and where else can you get a 1/2 cu ft enclousure in your front doors //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

toyotas are some really good cars, however nissan re-engineered all of their designs in 2000 or 2002 or something, since then their build quality has gotten very good and reliable... if you take care of it, i'd say any newer 2000 and up should go for 350-400,000 miles if you maintain it well. the early to mid 90's models were notorious for transmission trouble right around 150,000... they have since fixed all of that... great cars imo...

oh yea we take care of our cars =) im driving a 73 super bettle with the stock engine:)

and our 4runner is almost at 300,000 miles //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

so would you say nissan is more reliable than mitshubitshi (sp) or are they almost the same because i think the lancer looks better than the sentra

IMO...nissan will go further than mitsu. I have had to work on too many of the 4g63(assuming they still use this) to ever own one

i just am looking for stock, i wouldnt rice out a stang because EVERYONE has a riced out stang, just a nice new car to get from A to B with good gas milage and around $14,000

i've never personally owned a mitsubishi, but they do look cool, for my money i would go nissan, i have a friend that swears by eclipse's and they seem like pretty good cars, but have also seemed much more pricey to me... i think in general nissan will give you more bang for your buck as far as warranties and options go...

lol at the v-dub btw... another great car...

Check into the GTS Lancer.....5-speed if you can. Fun little cars. Almost traded my Focus ST on one not too long ago, but then realized the car wasn't as fast, nor had any more room, just liked the exterior more.........which is a stupid reason to buy a car alone on just looks IMO. I am more about driveability, comfort........which I am comfortable in my Focus.

I would recommend the ST Focus if you are looking into the Lancer, regular one or GTS. Obvious you won't find an Evo for that, unless really beat down.

They are nice though and peppy for the most part.
