Wait, what? I thought adding a brace, helps support the box....so how is one that dont go all the way down help support it.

The dividers are bracing. They dont need to go all the way down. But without it, especially on the big box, it'll shake rattle and roll.

I know what they were intended for, but something that long in the port like that can definitely alter tuning and restrict air flow.

I thought about the air restriction thing too. I was going to roundover. I hear no ill effects. No port noise at all, box is solid as hell with single baffle- no flex no panel vibration. When I fist built it, the bottom port panel and top box panel were really shaking- some more screws and those port braces helped A LOT.

Plus I designed the box with a bottom slot- 2.5" tall but 36.5 in long. Really too long not to brace with my limited carpentry skills.
