Look What Ups Brought Me Today 58lbs

That thing was packed bottom to top with those air pockets and some foam. You can clearly see UPS beat the living shit out of the box and even tried to fix it themselves. I'm guessing some packaging came out of the bottom to because I had about two to three inches of pagckaging material underneath the motor also. I'm not saying this was a grade A shipping job but he bought the sub with a recone kit and his intentions were to recone it. The sub was shipped to me with less packaging and could move around in the box and it had absolutly no issues when I received it. UPS beat it like no other and thats what insurance is good for i guess.

yeah they dropped it, every shipping company drops packages...when you pay that extra money to let the UPS store pack it then youre covered......when you ship yourself YOU make sure your shits tight. when i ship something i make SURE that bish could be run over by a UPS truck and survive. I had the exact same issue with FEDEX 3 years ago...yeah they dropped it, wore thru the packaging, re-taped it, got it wet and STILL DENIED it. $500 lesson learned on packing 60lb subs....They are gonna say bobble wrap p-nuts whatever is not enough support for a 60LB weight in the bottom of the SINGLE PLY box......
Best thing to do right there let them pack it, places the blame on them.

it sucks, but i highly doubt they will insure you. Yes the box is beat to hell, but it also isnt packed per their standards. I hope they insure it, but i would bet they wont. Its an expensive lesson youll only need once

I still have the XXX. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif I think If I sell it I will walk it to the person's house. Atleast then It might make it in one piece
Lol... Well whats up? I still have a brand new less than 10 hrs of play time LMS-5400

If thats true doesn't that put them at fault to be guilty by trying to cover it up?

See this crap really pisses me off. UPS smashes the shit out of everything and we all sit back and place the blame on the shipper. I mean COME ON here people. UPS should take better care of stuff. If you buy insurance from them then they assume all cost. If they dont agree with that then they should of inspected the package before agreeing to allow insurance on the package

most people use DOUBLE PLY boxes when shipping subs that heavy. Hell even Kicker sent me an L7 15" in a double ply box. So if that box is 10 inches tall you could put 650lbs in it? NOT! 65lbs PSI is rated on the sides of the box...not the bottom...does that tape look like you could put that sub on it? its not rated on the bottom of the box because the manufactorer has no way of know what type of tape you will use to secure the bottom of the box....take it from someone who works for a company that sells wholesale boxes to stores....YOUR BOX AND PACKING MATERIALS ARE INSUFFICIENT.

I have bought five subs this year.... not one has come in a DOUBLE PLY box, and not one has had any damage like this, and most of the subs I bought were packaged much worse than this, one Mag I bought only had a sheet of air bubbles around it and came just fine. If you saw the box and packaging before it was shipped and some appearntly fell out through the hole it was ready to go and the motor should not have been damaged what so ever.
