look what i made today. fiberglass box for typer 12 in a dodge 1500

heres the pics of the install. i didnt get any of the fleece or the laying of the first layer until it was drying there. but basically i just made a duplicate board for the amp rack and wrapped it in aluminum foil, then applied resin to it and used the aluminum foil board as a pull back to keep the fleece in contact with the middle amp rack area so when i stretched it over the baffles and the sides of the box it would keep that area sunk down. i just stapled it to the back\bottom of the box - and i stretched it REALLY tight *VERY IMPORTANT* because if you dont it gets saggy and wrinkly and stupid. STRETCH YOUR FABRIC AS TIGHT AS POSSIBLE AND DO NOT WARP THE REST OF YOUR FRAME!!!

on to the pictures!

we got him some spkurs to put up front and it sounds loads better. next job is to get a 2 channel amp and some components for his *** //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

can/would the section under the amp rack be acting like a port?

It looks like one sub is being ported into the chamber of the other sub, then finally ported out of the box.

Lookin good. I thought it was carpet when I first saw it. Seeing stuff like this really makes me wanna get into a big fiberglass project instead of just doing little stuff. Best part of the build was the chicken wings on the grill //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
