Look what I found today.

Getting excited hearing that.
You still getting those numbers from the 4 15s you built?
Been running the neo sigs for a while now and those 15's were built a few years ago. Had to repair a couple tinsels recently (wish I knew a good source on those, the ones Mike used to get were near unbreakable but that company disappeared) but otherwise they're doing fine.

IIRC 5200 was specifically designed for high efficiency (PA or SPL). I'd love to see pics of the coil when you get a chance.

Always lusted over those neo sig motors. Overkill but pretty neat, regardless.
Sure, as soon as I figure out what I'm going to do for a new image hosting site I will snap a picof the coil. The SPL version is really close to being evenhung, I'm sure you have a reference for how tall the top plate is on a 4HP. It's like 38mm, I think.

I know the standard 5200 has a very long coil and does much better with diggin deep. The SPL top has the short 8 layer flatwound coil fitting in the standard 4HP gap, along with the same spiders and that honeycomb cone with accordian surround. Moving mass is quite a difference between the two.

I'll be picking up another 4 neo sig motors later this summer from Shocker Mike though I doubt I'll be able to use 9 of anything unless I ever get a van or something... still nice to have options.

I have used 4hp based Shocker prototype so yeah, I know 4hp has a tall gap. I figured they'd use a shorter wind width and lighter coil for the SPL version, I've noticed gains from saving mass in coil and cone.

I'm using imgur for image hosting now. What's worrying about bucket is if they switched to pay per view, how long before the others go the same way? If they all demanded money tomorrow what can we do?
