When I trained my puppy (small one lik that one)... we got a little bell (like a service counter bell)... and everytime we took it out... we would physically take it's paw and slap the bell... then take it outside.
If it peed on the floor... we would still take it's paw and hit the bell... then take it outside.

This is only good till it finally figures it out... and a little after that. Then it'll start dinging the bell for no reason... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. But it works great for a while.

well Im gonna see if petsmart has one of them scanners today to see if she has a chip in her. I mean a $700+ dog should have a microchip right? unforunetly living in such a big city, it will be almost impossible unless she has the chip.

Walk it on a regular basis.Like 20-30 min after eating, take it outside. Keep it on a schedule and you shouldnt have a problem.

If my dogs need to go, they stand at my door and bark.

yeah I was reading something similar earlier today on the iams website. I need to find out how much a dog this size should eat and how often. I havent owned a dog in about 10 years and they were always big dogs like chows and labs

I've had great luck house training animals. I simply installed a pet door so the dogs and cats could leave and enter as they please, and they pretty much figured it out themselves. Hope your luck is just as good.
