AWB's got some good shit. "Pick up the Pieces" is a classic. I've got their self-title AWB album & another compilation; my favorites by them are of course "Pick up the Pieces", "Get it Up", "A Love of Your Own", "Star in the Ghetto", and "Your Love is Miracle".
What I hate is that if you don't really look like you "fit" the genre, that you get criticized for it...e.g., white people listening to "black" music, youngster listening to O.G. music, etc.
The only time I really play rap in my car is when we hit the club or are looking for some females saturday nights. Otherwise some Marv, Al G, some JBs, Curtis, & some Chi-Lites is what you'll here me playing. Oh and I can't forget about the female artists like Aretha, Patti, Barbara Mason, Betty Wright, .... the list goes on and on.
So much good music out there and all the current generation is stuck on is rap. Don't get me wrong, I listen to rap too, however most people my age are close-minded as to the type of music they listen to.
