ya that batt wont fit in factory tray.. u have to remove the tray and build a custom one and lay the batt on its side... biggest batt u can fit in there with little factory tray mod is a stinger SPV70 or SP1700

no I dont have a build log yet cuz I have not started anything..

I know that if I start a build log without having anything in progress, everyone would flame me and tell me to wait until I have started lol..

Also, answer to the box question.. that box is called compression box.. supposed to help me get lower lows.. Just an idea Mobeious suggested and I thought why dont I give it a try..

I know.. I am going to hack the factory battery tray off and try to mount my 2400 in there

Shoulda made this in the build log....not just in Thunderdome.

But, i dont like the grills....never did on our year Explorers.

Box looks nice, but I woulda made the sub firing to the back as well....gets loudest for me that way.

Everything else looks nice.

Might see how those headlights look on urs...get some for mine afterwhile

Sorry about that, I just thought that I should not put it in build log as there are some exterior mods that isnt related to CA so.. also I have not started the build so didnt want all of the hate lol

I had a hard time finding a grille and then I am like **** it I guess I will just join everyone's boat by getting billet grille.. but then I decided to make mine a lil unique by sending it to a guy I know and have him powdercoat it black.. I dont think I have seen anyone with this grille in black on an explorer yet so.. But I was just like you, I dont like those grilles but then they grew on me

why put it in the back if I can put it up front? and I dunno why but I HATE visible battery in the back, ruins the overall look IMO.. looks tacky when a huge battery like HC2400 is sitting in the back with bunch of wires going thru it..

I always have told everyone that I think I have some kind of OCD so I like everything to be clean and in the way I want it to be ha..

Sure did had fun opening all of those stuff ha..

I didnt bother having them shipped to me since I would have to bring all of those stuff home and whatever so I thought it d be easier to have everything here at home

what do you mean by stock exhaust?? I dont have any performance parts yet so? All of my stuff are car audio and comestics thats it.. or I am missing your point here?

But I would like to add some performance parts down the road later on.. Dual exhaust, K&N Intake, etc

**UPDATE**

Today I ended up doing everything later than expected since I had some errands to do in the morning..

So I managed to install the grille (upper only), headlights, taillights, and Avic F900BT along with some wiring..

My explorer looks sexyyy as hell after it got the black headlights and black grille upgrade.. I am loving it right now.. I could not get the lower bumper grille to screw in properly, so I am going to seek further instructions.. Even though my expo is lacking the lower grille, it looks sexy!

Tomorrow I should be finishing everything up, so I will be sure to update y all with new pics
