i went to a JL store the other day for kicks and giggles...

i noticed a 13w6 in a box (i think its JL too) and the port i swear is like 1 inch wide by 14 inches...isn't this bad???

what the hell is up with that? i thought the rule was 8:1 or something like that???

and off topic: i swear most audio salesman are either stupid or playing stupid, i was telling them about brand names that i've used before like JBL, PPI and Lanzar and other names that are not that uncommon and they swear they've never those names before...its like they only know what the hell they were selling...

yeah thats what i was getting at, not just the 14 inch long but the ratio of 14 inches long to only 1 inch wide...

i know its a rule of thumb only but then has anyone tested two ports one say 1x14 and one 2x7 to see if there is any significant difference?
