lol weighted vest

i can't wait til tomorrow im gonna head to the track and do some sprints, i got 10 lbs for each ankle/wrist to throw on for 80 lbs total lol. better yet im thinking some hill sprints would hit the spot. i've been wanting a good way to work the whole body for a while now, im into the explosive strength for boxing, but i can see how a lineman in football could use the same tech

To be honest man, you shouldt do sprints with extra weight. It WILL build strength, but it will not make you faster. When you sprint you are tryign to be as fast as possible, adding extra weight slows you down and activates your slow twitch muscle fibers more, thus not giving you what you are wanting, quickness.

Yes, if your diet was in check, it would defintly help

nah... gotta have strong, explosive strength in my legs, currently im 6'2" 200... can almost get a legit 4.4 40 yard dash

tryin to get under 4.5 and weigh more than 220 this summer

perhaps i should do a few sprints with the gear on and then take it off and finish with some without it on. it'll help me burn through my stored energy faster but end up with more speed?

x2... i only do explosive stuff for short distances (with real long strides) for

that and i do push ups, pull ups, lunges, sit ups, box squats (its different when the weight is actually on you) various jumps, and a few other things //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

like if i do a 100m sprint with the 80 lbs on and then take it off and run a mile, i'd be burnin through my atp energy with the weight but still workin on cardio and breathing with my normal weight for the mile. would this be a good workout technique?

is this track at a stadium?and what exactly are you trying to gain, explosive strength in you legs?
the bleachers only go up to 50 rows or so at the track i'd go to. im aiming for a full abdomen/leg workout.

NO. You dont want to mix your cardio and explosive training sessions.
