Funny you mention those cars, because they are in the same class as the Camaro z28 in Fstock, except for the Vette. Guess what car has won Fstock last 10 years in autox at the nationals. Camaros and Mustangs.I don't know who would put them in a league with 'Vettes, Supras, 300ZXs's and such, but in their class of cars, the pony cars do just fine.
If you're confusing the leaf spring suspension in your truck with the transverse leaf springs in the z06 you are insane. They're not even used in the same manner. As opposed to how the live axle in your p.o.s. is pretty much doing the same thing it has been in GM vehicles for generations... You are horrible at using analogy's.I didnt disregard anything. You are the one who has ducked all the questions. A solid rear car can handle very well, plain and simple, and it does on a Fbod.Using your logic I guess a Vette handles like shit because they use leaf springs(yeh that ultra modern suspension you were talking about) for suspension, so does my Dodge Ram pick up and it handles like shit, so must the Vette. You are out of your league magazine racer.
So true, but thtas were Eugenics gets all his info from, which makes him an expert in the handling department.you cant trust shit you read on the internet these days
And i'm sure that has nothing to do with the price of the vehicles, availability, amount of those vehicles on the road in the u.s., price of after market parts, support, bias of drivers.... there are plenty of factors. The fastest car does not always win, it's only part of the equation. And there are always ignorant fanboys like yourself to back up their position and vehicle no matter what the facts are. Back in the day when i had an accord and mustang gt, the accord could handle it with no problems. There wasn't even a comparison. And the accord was a family car.... Would the mustang win in a race? Probably, it had more power, enough to compensate for its shit handling. That doesn't change the facts though. Handled like shit. I'm not going to go on and on defending it. And apparently the mustang is in the same league as your fbody so.....Funny you mention those cars, because they are in the same class as the Camaro z28 in Fstock, except for the Vette. yeah, its not like i have drive time in these cars. i was driving a 650ci not too long ago, but i'm sure your fbody could out preform that too. it was just in my magazine you know.So true, but thtas were Eugenics gets all his info from, which makes him an expert in the handling department.

Well drifting is not handling, and thats what this post is about Most drift cars would be horrible race cars because they will be way to loose for good handling. I not much into drifting but I am guessing an Fbody would make a great drift car. Lots of power and very easy to get sideways and hold it. I have seen a bunch of new Mustangs used for drifting, which BTW have a live axle from the factory and is very similiar to an Fbod suspension in the rear. As far as rally cars are concerned, allwheel drive is king in that arena.brain u should go inform all the drift and rally racers on what cars to use, because i belive none of them are using Fbody`s.
Sounds like you dont know the difference between what is easy to drive and what handles good. I also have a Honda, but its a Civic. Its easy to drive fast and I can throw that car around like a kart, but no way in hell will that car outcorner my Camaro. Same thing with the 240sx I owned. This car was so easy to drive fast and did exactly what I wanted it to do and handled well, still cant keep up with the Camaro through the turns. Most people will never reach the limits on an Fbod. I will admit its not the easiest car to drive fast, but once you learn how it goes, not much in the same price range can compare. And i'm sure that has nothing to do with the price of the vehicles, availability, amount of those vehicles on the road in the u.s., price of after market parts, support, bias of drivers.... there are plenty of factors. Oh, and all this racing was done on the pages of my magazine.
I'll be happy to admit that you sir are correct. The numbers I have found confirm your theory; 4,139 308 GTB coupes were made between 1975-83, and Chevrolet manufactured 6,939 ZR-1 model Corvettes from '90-'95. One must remember to take these numbers with a grain of salt due to the fact that they did come off of the internet.A valid argument. My rebuttal:
I do not know the numbers right offhand but I'll wager GM manufactured more ZR-1 'Vettes than Ferrarri did the 308 GTB.
If I'm wrong I'm happy to admit it after someone shows me the stats, however...
