lol @ the idiots thinking f bodys and fox's can handle

Eugenics, is the source of all this internet fury pure boredom? Or do you actually believe you will change the minds of those who read this?
The facts are right there in front of him. He asks for experience and wheel time, i give it to him and then he sites that oh.... i just dont understand the difference. Like i had never thought to push them to their limits. The proof of the solid rear axles inferiority is in the market today. It's extinct in performance cars. Really the only 'sports' car holding onto it is the mustang... and thats a joke, it has been for some time now.

It's not that he's wrong that keeps me responding to him. Its that in spite of the facts, the general consensus of the racing world, and the automotive industry's constant move for better technology and meaningful advancements... he wont admit it. He has the gall to not only deny any facts or ideas that even the industry itself has implied, but then harp about how anyone who doesn't believe the f body's are great handlers is just some twit with no experience that only reads magazines and molests goats and so on and so forth. Like his narrow band of experience is somehow absolute and infoulable. A Vehicle won x amount of races in the x association's x race. Well no, the driver won. And there are plenty of other factors besides the vehicle itself.

I dont even know why chevrolet even bothered with the corvette... I mean, they obviously had it right with the camaro, they should've just left it in the 70's. The camaro is a supercar slaying machine.

An amazing driver will handle and push a pony car around the twisties all day, possibly beating poor drivers in better cars. Put that driver in the seat of a Lancer, Impreza, MR2, 350Z, he won't ever want to drive a pony in the twisties.

The F-Body can turn, otherwise a great driver couldn't beat other, much better handling cars with it. It just can't turn that well in an equal race. Equal drivers, conditions, track. Do I still like them? Hell yea. Raw power, nice looks, huge aftermarket. Would I ever dream I could challenge a Porsche or Vette, on my best day, even with an equal driver driving against me? **** no.

I think ITR is Integra Type-R, which are pretty nasty cars for FWD 4 cyl. S2K's are track cars through and through. Unfortunately for Brian's argument, they are in the pony cars' price range and class. The only disadvantage either of these have against a pony is torque. What speed an F-body loses in the turn, it can quickly gain on the exit thanks to torque pretty much anywhere on the tach. Honda's, not so much.
And how close were you to this accident you had to SWERVE and lose control? Next time, slow down..and not try to move recklessly, possibly causing more harm than a simple rear end.
70 mph on the highway, and she stopped moving completely because there was construction, I tried to brake, but braking a 4000 pound car to a stop from 70 w/ bad brakes is a bit of a challenge, so i then swerved...

Tell you what my BMW will out handle any F-Body
i dont know, he might come on here and tell you that you dont know the difference from a car thats easy to drive and a car that handles great.

but yeah, the 650 i drove seemed on its shit... but i have read magazines too... so who really knows.

That right there should be enough for you to realize this thread is worthless.

Sounds like driver error to me.

What came first; the Chicken or the Egg?

Vette or Maro?

BTW... where be that almighty Maro? Ditched and waiting for a resurrection.

i find myself quite amused.

Not at all, it brings up a valid point. Fbodys dont handle very well. And those who think they do are idiots. Brian SS was kind enough to drop by and prove my point.

There are people a lot more idiotic on this board than those who think F-bodies can handle.

Sweet.

I am, however, one of the idiots who thinks an F-body can handle //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I've driven and/or raced many different cars, from your $1500 civic to your $170k F430 and I still love how my car handles. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I'm not out to prove anything to people in the interwebs, though, which is probably why I have 334 posts and you have 15,156 :p

i'm not talking about handling, i'm talking about handling very well. which is one thing f bodys cannot do for many reasons. in the late 80's and early 90's gm and fords pony cars were great, that time has passed. time to step up to the plate. i'm really hoping the new camaro kicks ***.

Ah, that might be the source of the confusion. The title of the thread, which you made, says "handle," not "handle very well."

I hope the rumors are true about the new Camaro and that it will have a 550hp supercharged version //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif Chevrolet has never wanted to steal the spotlight from the vette though, so I doubt you'll be able to get a car more powerful than the vette.
