I hate stability controls, especially when the car wont let you turn them off completly. Turned off the aids on an sc430 and to my surprise it was a one wheel wonder. You need to have either:A) good driving skills
B) electronic assistance to control the car
If your friends fishtail when they give it gas it sounds like they lack the driving ability. Unless of course they're doing it on purpose for fun.
haha, whatever makes you sleep better at night. What would you know about handling? you've never been on a track, you've never raced anywhere besides the highway.Yeah, most of the F-Bods are like that. But most of these people saying they can't handle worth shit haven't even driven one. Or if they have they don't know how to drive. But, as I said before, I don't care what anybody thinks, I never did have an import beat me in my old car...the closest was a turbo-charged civic as stated earlier...and that was five ties in a row. But he had I think 18G's under the hood...with that kind of money I could have made my T/A blow any rice burner away by a long shot.
Point is, F-Bods may not handle as well, but they can handle enough. Very rarely in a race will you be caught up in twisties, and if the proper driver is behind the wheel that should be no problem. End of Story.
****ing Ricers.
i felt much more safe in my honda at 115 than i did in my GT at 100. We took my friends maro upto 130 and it felt like there wasn't a suspension at all. I imagine you get used to it when you drive the car every day and take it upto those speeds regularly. But its still a very discomforting feelingYou are obviously uneducated. I have driven an F-body many times as I raced one at Summit Point. THEY CANNOT HANDLE!!!! I have spent about $5500 in total upgrades to my car. Head work, cams, custom transmission including new gear ratios and a posi, and nitrous. Also intake, headers, exhaust ECU and custom TCM. The car has been lowered on custom coilovers. Has subframe connectors, strut braces, sway bars and urethane bushings. All work performed myself. It is a 1996 Maxima. As I said before, there is no streetable T/A that can beat it. Including yours.
I also have a 1993 Nissan 300zx TT that you can't beat.
