Kicker L Series subs ...just get loud ..port em and im putting my money on them.

Depends on the box space you have. If you can only put the REs in less than 1 sealed cube apiece, and can port the L5s, then naturally I'd say the L5s. But, if you can port the REs, too, then by all means the L5s won't do it.

at 175 watts, Xmax is nadda...I would take less Sd and more power ported...

are you using to different amps for both setups? the kickers are getting 500 a piece which would equal 1000 total, but the re's are getting 175 a peice which would equal 700 watts. if both are ported, it would be hard to go against the re's given the amount of cone area.

Um I Would Go With The 4 Re12's......its More Cone Area By Far.....with The Two 10's Your Talking Around 126square Inches Of Cone Area...with The Re12's...you Got 310 Square Inches Of Cone Area...and The Xmax Is Pretty Much The Same...

I'd Go With The 4 Re's.....it Will Smoke Those Ten On Anygiven Day...imo

lol polekat arent u just a little biased??? and i have an extended cab truck, i was lookin to port.

my point I was making, Xmas is not a factor with 125-175 watts...that power will not push the woofer near Xmax...now the four 12's would probably be louder, but IMHO, just MHO, I would rather build a box with two drivers, (Kicker or any other, just to make that clear) and drive them harder, and use less materials, and possibly space.

i would also go with the kickers i just like there product though. for re's ive never heard any before.
