Local shop...Fastest Street supra in the World ENGINE PICS!

Don't know where you've been. There is a new Supra coming out. Nobody thought Nissan would ever bring the Skyline to America, but, its here next year!

I talked to the owner of the shop... I asked him this question specifically.. he said when he was at whatever show it is they have in Vegas he asked whoever the helk the guy is... but he said he asked THE top dog over there about it.... If they are, show me some pics/vids... and not the pic from like a mile away that I have seen 100 times that you can't even tell what it is.

Also... That Supra in the vid that was just posted ran an 8.9??..... I dunno WHEN they broke the record or where, but it was within the last year. Did that guy go to nationals? Was it a street race time? Was it just an every day drag? I dunno the EXACT details on the record, but I dont think a shop of this caliber would just throw out that comment.

come on man. The car is not doing 0-60 in 1 sec. Anybody that has ever put a wrench to a motor can tell you that. Yes, they are bad *** cars and the stock bottom end can hold 900hp+ But dont spread mis-leading info about a 1sec 0-60.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Not saying that its not possible. But that car in the vid is not up to 60mph in 1 freakin sec. He's running mid 8's.
Qtrhorse is right, i believe it was only the single turbo models had the internals to hold that power.

If you even bothered to watch the video I posted of the OTHER Supra that they built... it ALSO did 0-60 in 1.05--- You can call the place and he will tell you exactly how he figured that out to.... He didnt tell me exactly what time the Orange one ran in 0-60, but he said.. "put it this way... by the time we hit 60, we were doin like "n" MPH already". And if you have ever seen some of these cars tear off the line... it is very possible after 1sec they are movin like that already.

Thats a whole lot of hearsay. Lexus is bringing a new Sports coupe to market, as well as a hybrid supercar. It only makes sense that they would go down market and try to appeal to the 350z crowd.

The bottom line is that nobody at toyota would give the shop owner a straight answer... and for obvious reasons, he obviously isn't able to keep the information to himself. There are plenty of rumors in the air, and nobody is fit to say that a next gen supra (or a variant) is not on the horizon for Toyota.

He posted a vid of it doing 8.3 so guess Ryans is not the fastest unless he broke that recently

Nice vids...id use the term Street Supra loosely i mean they both have chutes...i like the WOTM 6sp better...that thing had a nasty 2 step:naughty:

This is not true for any Supra. There were certain models that you could do this too but not all.
Again, it all depends on the condition of the motor, parts chosen, proper fuel delivery, and a good, and I do mean good tune!

A Supra is not in the Ricer class unless you put all those graphics, fins, valances and ect. on them but in general they are not considered Ricers.

I agree! Its sad that people ruin such nice cars doing things like that. The Supra truly is a genuine powerhouse and beautiful car!

If you read my post correctly, I said the fastest 6 SPEED SUPRA! Not the fastest overall. Titan Motorsports holds that record. I tried to find a vid of Ryan running his best, but I'm still looking.

As far as the Supra, I saw the article in Option Magazine straight from Japan! That would come from the CEO of Toyota Japan. I will try to find the link to the article.
