I'm not quite sure how to burn bin/cue files, and plus I don't have any blank cd's at the time. Is there a way to have windows boot-up from the bin file in the directory it's in on my external HDD?

If I have to go the bin/cue file route, which one am I actually 'burning' onto disc? I usually just use deamon tools to open these files up.

Hmm im not 100% on this but if you go into bios and set your external hard drive as your primary boot device it might work, but I dont know if bios will recognize a usb

drive?

Use VLC media player that plays bin files from the harddrive .. i use it all the time ... anything that has ot do with a computer or stuff .. etc i know them all ..sorta .. well enough

That's basically what I'm wondering myself. If the hdd would be recognized or not, and if so, would I be able to set a path to the bin file directory so Windows could boot from there.

This would work on a fresh install of xp? I don't see how. I figured that if there is no O/S already you can't use programs to install anything. Otherwise, I could just use Daemon or PowerISO.

If anyone would kindly explain how to write bin/cue files to cd, I will buy some cd-r's and do that, because I have a feeling that's my only option.

Try alcohol 120%.

Works better for me instead of daemon.
What am I trying it for? To write a bin file?

If you mean to load the files with, then that's no use to me. I can't run a program without an O/S already being on my computer.
