Liquid Tension Experiment or Dream Theater

I have a couple of DT CD's and even their greatest hits, which yes they do have one, lol!
Singer is not that great, some songs he sounds good, but most........meh! The instrumentals are what catch me. FYI, they have one of the best drummers in the world!
Yes, right there with Neil Peart.

I've got almost all of dream theaters albums, I was really into them about 4-5 years ago and they have kind of faded to the back of my mind. And yes, Mr. Portnoy is the man. Why else would the Ozz-man use his skills?

yes, one of them. he bows to danny carey //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

and you forgot to mention, one of the best guitarists also.

Danny Carey, I have heard him before. Can't remember who he plays for, please enlighten me.
tool. he isn't as outgoing as mike portnoy..but i think technically he's way better, they both have different styles though.

when you get to the point where you can play this crazy shit on any instrument for hours straight without making a mistake that anyone notices..that's just ridiculous. someone said it earlier, these guys will never see the recognition they deserve because not enough people appreciate what they do.

Tool is pretty main stream in their genere of music and DT has gotten bigger from over the years.

I do agree for the most part, they will never get their recognition, however I believe they are doing fine financially.

I would rather make a good amount of money and not get big.

Jesus, duh!
I have a horribe sinus headache, so excuse me for my idiotic stages tonight.

I agree, another great drummer, but I enjoy Mike Portnoy a little more.
yeah every time i've seen DT in concert portnoy is shoving his sticks up his nose or throwing shit at the other band members, he's an entertaining guy.

Ha, caught you in a typo, lol!
strange. hah

They're in their own genre. Not really anyone else in it with them, Perfect Circle doesn't count.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Gotta remember most of the people or morons today are into pop, boy bands, American Idol and other mindless crap. I can't even tell you 3 bands of modern day mainstream rock. Let alone be able to stomach any of it. Thats why I love all the obscure styles of progressive and metal. Not to mention classical and Jazz.
