yea its a router u can hook it up with ur cable ..and it comes wih everything including instuctions how to set it all up..its pretty simple

I have this and it's great. However, I don't believe that you can use Cable Internet on this.

hmm your right i found this stashed in my computer room, and this does look different then the box, on the routher it says wireless access point router 2.4 ghz with 4 port switch. Can someone explain to me if this is the same thing?

thanks for catching that, i just looked at the router and its model # Linksys BEFW11S4 Wireless-B Cable/DSL Router...no clue what the difference is, but its brand new

the wireless b part means that it will go 11mbps max instead of the 54 that g offers. Not trying to ruin the thread just explain the difference. it is a wap with 4 ethernet ports as well.

now when i searched the model on the Linksys website, the pic and yours are way different.
