Linking/Dual mono SAZ-1500D v.1

I was reading the spec sheet of the 1500D V2 on sundowns website and they mention linking the two mono outputs, thus giving 3KWRMS to the SUB. Is this possible on the V1? If so, what are the drawbacks/risks? Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I was just curious. should be ,drawbacks on linking amps is ,if one blows then both blow.best thing is twice the power and you only have to adjust the master amp not the slave amp

They will not both necessarily blow if one goes.

the benefits would be

1)Putting out max rated power at 2ohms mono rather than lower than rated at 2 ohms with a single 3000d, well over rated power at 1 ohm mono (you better have good electrical to go there).

2)Simple level and preamp adjustment

3)more mounting options

the negatives would be

1)1 ohm mono is not covered under warantee

2)slightly confusing wiring if you haven't done it before

3)slightly higher initial cost

that is about it as far as I am concerned, but others may add or subtract from there.

it means linking 2 amplifiers to drive a single load (driver or drivers)

to simplifiy it, one amplifer acts as the negative hook up, and the other acts as the positive, if that make sense
