Freaking out!

Okay I got my btl 15 and aq2200 today I got it all wire up went to turn it on and my amp fault light came on checked everything found nothing wrong with my wiring. Went to turn it on and popped a 250 amp anl fuse. At this point I'm freaking. I take the amp out take it apart and bench test it. When I put power to it it clicks like its turning on but no power lights come on or light on the bass knob. Any idea?

Did you get it from AQ? Either way, since you broke into it, your warranty is void. You sure you didnt' switch up the power and ground? Burning up a 250A is not a good sign.

Call AQ maybe they will feel bad for you and since u didnt touch anything inside u mightget lucky and they will replace... MAYBE

I'd check your sub wiring. Sure your coils are connected to the amp correctly? Smell burning anywhere, sub/amp? Hopefully the protection circuitry did something to prevent your mistake from costing you an amp, I'd recheck all the wiring make abesolutely sure everyting is hooked up right and solid grounds are made. I feel for you bro nothing worse then seeing that fault light and the amp no longer working, worst feeling ever.

sounds like mine. i had a rxd2400.1 and hooked it up. i didnt know my grounds was bad as it was until it was to late and i blew it. but i sent mine back under warranty and got it back, fixed the gorund and its been fine since(knock on wood). but it could also had been a faulty internal part

there is a short circuit in the amp some where most likely the power supply is gone. if its not lighting up and pulling current.

Okay well today my buddy lent me his hifonics 1500 till mines fixed. I didn't change any wiring from the aq amp wired in the hifonics and she's bumpin fine, can somebody explain that to me? Sounds to me it was the aq2200 in the first place. And now audioque wont return my calls or email. How much would it cost to just have somebody fix this thing ?

if you kept the wiring the same than thats a defect...I mean unless you didn't have adequate power and cranked the gain....and even then it should just fack your subs up with distortion not short circuit.

Get Audioque to replace it.

its pulling to much current. see if they can replace it first.
