There's nothing wrong with not producing your own music as a lyricist, and that's exactly what many rappers are. Lil wayne however brings nothing to the table except some babbling and middle-upper class idolized image of a thug...who has been exposed a number of times as not being anything like who he claims to be these days...

take last years lyricist of the year who I believe was Atmosphere and compare them to Lil Wayne!!! Whoever is deciding these winners are 2 COMPLETELY diff. sides of the spectrum. Atmosphere has some great lyrics

Lil wayne is in his own league with t-faggot and soulja boy. I could give a fvck who supposedly says he's any good. He's not. Again, its a bullshit image and hype/commercialism/14 year old white girls at high school dances in upper class areas who have gotten him to where he is...and the bullshit sells, so they're just gonna keep on producing it.
