No joke, I don't get why people like him. His voice irritates me too, his lyrics are so-so, and he's useless. He's really popular, but that just means that the record labels are pushing him more than anyone else, doesn't it?

There's a lot of people that have songs that go to the top. Mims - This is while I'm hot. Was that good music? No. Did that hit a good spot on the top charts? Yes. Does that indicate that someone is doing something right? No!

Mims was on top once. Lil Wayne has been at or near the top constantly.

I'm not trying to argue with you, I do understand that not all of Waynes stuff is good, however I do like a few of his songs and will not deny that he does have SOME talent and has been constantly up in the charts.

Wayne can spit- there's no doubt about it. He's not rapping the same thing over and over and over (lately he kinda is), but like I said, listen to his freestyles; the ***** can spit.

Yea, he was a heroin addict. He sounds a whole lot better than Lil Wayne, but from what I've heard he is the exact opposite of a gangsta in real life.

It's honestly getting anoying hearing people bash Lil Wayne. Yeah, you don't like him, big deal. The guys still on top half of the time so he's obviously doing something right.

His old stuff had some substance and I still listen to some of it, but his new stuff is just garbage...period.

He is one of the few rappers that grew up living the "real" gangsta life.He's a real dude, that, to me, should earn him some respect as far as his music goes

He's hypocritical and oxymoronic as a person. What he says and what he does are ridiculously contradictory, and especially when he's going to claim to be 'the best rapper alive', he is putting himself in a position where people will criticize claims like this. If he didn't think he was amazing, I would probably think he's decent, not horrible. It's the fact that he THINKS he's incredible, that makes him horrible. Modesty or the lack-there-of can go a long way

By claiming to be the best rapper alive, he's inviting people to compare him to the best, and he doesn't even come close.
